Who says staying in Bohol need is too expensive to be enjoyable? Maybe those who have not heard about Tierra Azul Beach House.

One of the very few resorts owned by Filipinos in Alona Beach area is Tierra Azul Beach House. It's a two-storey apartment-type building with nine(9) spacious room accommodations at very affordable rates. The resort is located just a few flight of steps to the fine white sand beach of Panglao. But since it's partly hidden and has no beach front, you have to find the entrance marker beside Bohol Diver's Resort which is not hard to find.

For tourists who need no-frills accomodation, Tierra Azul is a good bet. It's close proximity to the beach and being at the Alona beach area makes it a strategic 'base' for outgoing people who loves to take adventures around Bohol. But its affordability doesn't mean it's services is cheap as after a full day out in the beach, diving the Bohol waters or visiting the tourists spots, Tierra Azul's spacious rooms and will welcome you for a good night of sleep. You may also choose to have a sumptous meal at their restaurant or get a relaxing drink at your very own balcony.

Hi Anna,

Me and my family visited Bohol last 15th of June. We stayed at Tierra Azul. We were 4 … 3 adults and 1 kid.

They charged as 1,600 a day per room. Actually the price should be 1,800 because the standard price is good for 2 persons only. But they give my Mom’s accomodation and my son’s as well for free.

You can cal them to make an arrangement. They’re friendly actually.

It’s just that I’m not so sure if they consider December as a peak season. Of course it will be a different price.

We’ve enjoyed our stay with them. The shoreline is just fewsteps away. I think it’s 15-20 steps away … downhill (cause tierra azul is elevated from the shoreline)

I might do suggest try “AMORITA”. It’s amazing! The view is breathe-taking!

here’s the itenerary :
1.Blood Compact
+ there are 2 actually +
1. along the highway; before baclayon church;no fees ; it’s a landmark with monuments of legaspi and sikatuna
2. along the hiway; after baclayon church ; donation if you want since real people reanacts the “scene”

2.Baclayon Church
+ Tagged as the 2nd oldest church in the Philippines if not in S.East Asia.
+ It has a Museum where you can see old antiques as in old church things.
+ Entrance fee in Museum P75.00/pax ; CR P10.00/pax

3.Giant Python
+ It being kept by one of the locals but approved by DENR
+ A Gay named “Marimar” will be your guide. He looks like Bitoy (in disguise)!
+ There are caged local birds as well.
+ If you want a cheap pasalubong, there’s a Peanut Kisses store right at the gate. And also there famous calamay. Peanut kisses are really cheap compared to alona beach strip stores! Calamay was @ 3 for P100
+ Entrance fee = P15.00/pax

4.Tarsier
+ What we had visited was not the real sanctuary but just a local cage. There were 7 to 9 tarsiers if I do remember.
+ As they say it’s now forbidden to touch the tarsiers as this may bring stress to them.They are nocturnal animals so bugging them at sunrise might be a big deal for them. But since our landtour driver knew the caretaker, Me and my son got the chance to touch one of the tarsiers and had a picture while the tarsier in on my left hand.
+ We’ve seen also a baby tarsier. It was too small you might mistaken it for a keychain.
+ No Entrance Fee ; But a fair donation will be much appreciated. Me, I’ve given P150. It’s the feeling of excitement that counts.

5.Loboc River w/ Lunch buffet
+ P300.00(P250 lunch and P50tax and boat ride)
+ There are several floating restaurant to choose from. Pick the first one at your left. I forgot the name. You’ll notice there are lot of celebrity pictures.

6.Man-made Forrest
+ It was initiated by former President Carlos P. Garcia.
+ No entrance fee … right at the side of the hiway.
+ So many Mahogany Trees that it would turn sunrise to sunset.
+ If you gonna pull up the road and take your pictures, make sure be careful for any vehicles passing by. They may not see you.

7.Butterfly Sanctuary
+ Typical butterfly sanctuary with a twist.
+ Entrance fee … P25.00/pax ; and if you’re kind enough to give a tip

8.Chocolate Hills
+ Do I need to say more about the experience?!
+ Entrance fee … P50/pax ; child … free
+ One of the hills was converted to a view deck/platform. The view deck do have more than 200 steps but there’s a ramp for not so strong joints.
+ A prayer of luck might be needed since it’s always raining but hopefully december onwards it won’t. If it rains you might end up only on the ground deck.

9. Hanging Bridge
+ Me and my family did not cross the bridge. We just drop by it and took a picture of it.

10.Hinagdanan Cave.
+ Entance fee … 15.00/pax ; and a tip for the guide
+ You have to be careful going down since it’s slippery and it’s so stiff, as if your going down a ladder.

+You could drop by Bohol’s Mall … Island City Mall… I was assunming that it was just a low-profile mall since it’s a province but hey it’s like a semi-SM that houses a lot of boutiques and fastfoods that you can find as well in Manila.

+ Foods are kinda pricey in Alona Beach. Maybe it’s because of the ambiance.
