There are 2 Family Villas at the beach front. It provides a sweeping view of the ocean. These villas come equipped with satellite television, Air-conditioning, hot and cold water system, stunning interior decoration and 2 king-sized beds.

There are also two deluxe cottages with pool view. They are bungalows with terrace to enjoy and relax. Like the Family Villa, it comes equipped with satellite TV, aircondition, hot and cold water and 1 queen sized bed. Another choice is two superior cottages.

For a bigger groups, you can choose othe Family Duplex cottage. This is one large cottage with 2 separate rooms. This is good for family and group accomodation. The amenities are the same as that of the Family Villa.

For more adventurous guests, the resort also has "The Campers Fave". It is secured tent for rent for those who want to stay outdoor.

HOW TO GET HERE

Access to Panglao Island through Ceby by ferryboat. It takes an hour and 30 minutes. If coming from Manila, you can take a plane to Tagbilaran. The resort provide a "meet and greet" service at the airport and seaport. The resort is 10 minutes away from the city proper.

FOODS

Sea View Restauran and Coco Lounge Bar are available for all guests. Rates are comparable with any dining facility in the Philippines with a choice of outstanding dining options. Snacks are also available at the restaurant from after breakfast through to late afternoon and early dinner.

Foremost of the Festivals here is the Sandugo Festival in July. It's done annually to commemorate the Sandugo or Blood Compact between Datu Sikatuna and Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. The highlights of the festival are agro-industrial fair, cultural and historical showcase, sports events, a beauty pageant, balls and dances, entertainment shows, and streetdancing which culminates with the re-enactment of the blood compact or Sandugo between Datu Sikatuna and Don Miguel López de Legazpi.

Other prominent fiestas and festivals are as follows:

Tagbilaran City Fiesta (May 1).

It is one of the most exciting and fun-filled occasions in the capital city of Bohol. This celebration starts the month-long fiestas all over Bohol. At least one barrio or town celebrates fiesta for each day of the month of May.

Bolibong Kingking Festival (May 23-24)

This is a music and dance festivity depicting the history, folklore, and traditions of the Loboc, Bohol. Bolibong Kingking is a term applied to the drums and gongs and their rhythm used to accompany the supplication dance ritual in front of the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the 2nd Patron of Loboc, Bohol.

There's an entrance fee to the spring which is only PHP20 for adults. There are also picnic tables, huts and cottages for rent with fees ranging from PHP20-120. Though it is not free, the amount you pay is more than worth it specially when you consider how clean the pool is. Boholanos should really be proud of what they did in this area and the maintenance of the site is really commendable. Despite the development made to the site, main attractions like the falls and the spring itself remain untouched.

Aside from the treat of the cool waters of the spring, visitors can also enjoy the sea which is just a few meters away. The adds allure of the adventure at Badiang Springs.

Kirk, the photo masking king of The Philippines recommended Lost Horizon Beach Resort in Bohol, on Panglao Island, good advice I’m happy to share.

Lost Horizon is a small hotel on Panglao Island, Alona Beach, and they offer free WiFi to their guest, scoring beaucoup bonus points with me. The room cost was about P2500 (~$50) per night, and our entire stay there, including meals and laundry came to only P10,500 (~$200).

Lost Horizon does not have a swimming pool, but Alona Beach Resort, just down the beach and five times the price does have a pool. Alona Beach Resort wants P400 (~$8) for non-guests to swim in their pool. My suggestion is to stay at Lost Horizon and rent the pool.

Kirk and Barbie. The night Marissa and I arrived in Bohol, Kirk and his girlfriend, Barbie, took us out to eat at one of the many beach restaurants. For five people the cost came to P2000 (~$40), but man that was some good seafood.
