BeZo Recreational & Aquatic Activities

There’s now more to Baclayon than its famous 17th century church and museum. With the help of Ayala Foundations Inc.’s (AFI) Bezo initiatives, visitors can now enjoy more adventures in this heritage town. Called Biyahe Baclayon, the adventure is composed of three tours designed for visitors who want to explore Baclayon’s natural wonders and heritage and cultural sites.

Biyahe Baclayon’s Heritage Walk

This heritage walk aims to promote Baclayon’s rich culture by taking the visitors of the town’s delicacy shops selling Bohol foods like broas, tableyas and ube kinampay. The tour also includes visit to workshops where crafts and souvenirs are designed and manufactured.

Baclayon Adventure Trail

The adventure trail covers almost the entire municipality of Baclayon. Includes activities are hiking trails and trails for mountain bikes, dirt bikes and quads. Quads are the buggy type all-terrain vehicle that will allow you to follow the finish the trail without breaking a sweat.

The routes have been designed to pass by lakesm caves, springs and deep sinkholes. And like the Danao E.A.T, there are plans of installing zipline for extreme adventurers. Coupled with breathtaking panoramic views in several stops and points along the trail, this Adventure Tour will be hard to miss.

Pamilacan Tour

Baclayon and the nearby Pamilacan Islands are actively being promoted as a greate eco-cultural destination. And so, the Bezo project made this Pamilacan tour as their third tour. It includes an early morning boat ride from Baclayon to Pamilacan. The water between the Baclayon and Pamilacan Islands is frequented by butandings, dolphins and manta rays. Guests may also opt to visit Pamilacan dive sites, swim the beach of the island, or have a massage by the women of the Pamilacan Tourism and Livelihood Multipurpose Cooperative.

Biyahe Baclayon is just part of the bigger project of Ayala Foundation Inc. Inspired by the culture and creativity of Boholanos, AFI partnered with the communities of Dauis and Baclayon in Bohol to promote sustainable community development and the preservation of natural and cultural sites through various projects.
